Sitting pretty on the banks of Scarborough Beach, Western Australia, is the residential haven, The Beach Shack. Offering a quality coastal lifestyle and an enhanced way of living, the two boutique buildings offer residents the choice of a dark or light scheme apartment. An epitome of location and luxury, the gentle curves of the building reflect the beauty of the ocean it looks onto.
Award-winning Plus Architecture and renowned developers Norup Wilson, came to conclusion that Lauxes Grates were the suitable drainage solution, working with the flow and design of the building. Chosen for their versatile nature, the NeXT Generation 26 (NXT26) was installed in over 200 applications throughout the interior and exterior of the building, including all bathrooms and balconies.

A place where lifestyle meets flair, the NXT26 grates went hand in hand with the personalised architecture. Chosen for their durable yet malleable nature, the grates were used in many in-situ threshold applications, including installation against large-format windows and doors. The grates were used on the open plan balconies, many of which featured an unusual 45-degree angle to the buildings side. The customisability of the NXT26 made it the perfect wrap around drainage solution. The anodised aluminium nature of the grates ensured that the proximity of the coastline and the harsh western sea breeze would never affect the grates. Giving the architects and developers peace of mind, all grates came with a lifetime rustproof and corrosion free warranty.
With each bathroom varying in size and design, the NXT26 was able to be customised on-site, installed easily into each space.
The aluminium linear grates provided the perfect seamless drainage solution, subtle, sturdy and aesthetic. The NeXT Gen range of grates not only looked the part but served as a highly functional addition to the apartments. With their easy roll out feature, present and future residents will find it easier than ever to clean debris out of their grates.
The design of The Beach Shack required even the smallest features to be state-of-the-art. The Lauxes grates partnered flawlessly with the seaside and clean feel of both the building’s interior and exterior.
